My Story

All my life I have loved to bake.

​

When I was very small, my dad built me a little brick house in the garden.

​

Inside my little brick house, I would bake wonderful imaginary cakes and he would buy them from me for a handful of pebbles.

​

All these years later, 'Bluebells' is my little brick house and I still bake every single day.

The cakes are no longer imaginary, but they are still just as wonderful.

​

I know my dad would have been proud of me.

My name is Tina Baker (yes, really!)

​

Baking is my passion and my Superpower.​​​

​

I've been baking professionally now for over 35 years, and I still absolutely love it - I even bake on my days off!

​

I've baked and created recipes and menus for restaurants, cafes and tea rooms, including my own, the original Bluebells Tearoom in Battle, East Sussex for five wonderful years.

 

My baking adventure continues to this day with Baked@Bluebells, named after my perfect little tea room. 

 

In my purpose-built bakery in Goxhill, North Lincolnshire, I still personally hand-bake every scone, cake, brownie, dessert, pudding, cookie, tart and pastry with pride.

 

I use only natural ingredients that your granny would recognise; like flour, sugar, butter, chocolate and fruit.

 

After all, taste and texture are everything, and you don't get perfection if you compromise on quality.​​​​​​​​​​​
